Sardines are small fish, about eight inches long, with a silvery belly and dark spots. Its flesh is fine and tender in taste, its skin is fragile, the bigger it is, the greasier it becomes.
These canned Anny™ vegetable oil sardines are commonly eaten. Preserved in oil, they are rich in fat. Rinsing canned sardines before eating can lower the sodium levels somewhat.
The high fat content, and therefore the omega-3 fatty acids, of oily fish are rich in nutrients and offer undeniable health benefits.
Preservation of sardines in ANNY™ VEGETABLE OIL
Always store sardines at room temperature and never in the refrigerator. The cold freezes the oil and prevents the sardines from soaking up the oil well, at least until the cans are opened.
Canned food in metal cans are not intended for cooling at all, as the metal in the cans can rust if left there for a long time.
