Esesse: This spice can be used in as many different ways as its names in West Africa. In Cameroon it is mainly used for sauces and soups.

In some African countries, Tetrapleura tetraptera, to give it its Latin name, is also used to make sweets or tea. The plant is rich in vitamin C, proteins, flavonoids, magnesium, potassium and is also used as a medicinal plant in Africa.

Esesse Latin name tetrapleura tetrapterain is a spice commonly used in Cameroon, especially for various sauces and soups.
